Achluophobia is a fear of the dark. I have it bad. If I get caught in a very dark place, my heart starts beating quickly, my breathing gets faster, and I go into full panic. I usually find anything for light, but it sometimes makes things worse. Like flashlights have limited light area and when I cant see all the areas of the dark I again panic. I check under my bed, close open closet doors. I sometimes wake up at night with the feeling someone is in my room. I don’t know what to do. Direct Exposure treatment may make things worse. Are there people that can help me get rid of it that don’t cost a small fortune, or even better. Free.
